Inspire your young ones with a Botswana family safari holiday, where kids and teens can see Africa’s most famous species in the wild, learn about the importance of conservation and create lasting memories the whole family can share for years to come.
Kwando Reserve’s Lebala Camp includes a family tent with a double room and additional twin bedroom within the same unit, ideal for parents with young children. Splash in the pool, enjoy game drives in a private vehicle or try your hand at fishing as a family.
Splash Camp is so called because of its Okavango Delta location, seemingly floating in the region’s wildlife-rich waterways. Labyrinthine water channels are ideal for mokoro (dug-out canoe) safaris, as well as discovery of secret islands along the way.
Nxai Pan Camp is set on the west edge of the fossil pan in Botswana’s Salt Pans region. Observe the zebra migration, enjoy picnic lunches at the scenic Baines’ Baobabs, then take walks with San bushmen, where you’ll discover how the San hunt and use plants for medicinal purposes.
Note that in most cases, children under 6 are not usually accepted at safari camps in Botswana, especially unfenced camps. Also, walking safaris, mokoro trips and activities such as quad biking have an age limit of 12+.
