Where to go in Colombia
In Cartagena, wander colorful streets, coastal ramparts, and lively plazas. Medellín invites cable-car views, public art, and a forward-looking spirit. The Coffee Region offers plantation tours, cloud forests, and slow village life. Each area shows a different face of Colombia, tied together by warm welcomes and a love of craft.
Cartagena
Colombia’s coastal city on the Carribean coastline, Cartagena combines coastal beauty and steeping in history.
Known as the undisputed Queen of the Caribbean coast, Cartagena de Indias offers a sensory journey through time. The UNESCO-listed Old Town captivates with its flower-draped balconies and preserved colonial ramparts, best explored on a private walking tour of the historic plazas.
Beyond the city walls, the experience shifts to ecological immersion. Guests can canoe through the mangroves of La Boquilla to engage with local fishing communities or escape by private boat to the turquoise waters of the Rosario Islands. With accommodation in exquisite heritage mansions that blend historic grandeur with modern luxury, Cartagena delivers a sophisticated fusion of tropical relaxation, vibrant street life, and world-class gastronomy.
Coffee Region
Colombia is famously known for it’s coffee so it is a must-see destination to go and see where the region the coffee comes from. The area was recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2011 to honor the mountainside farming.
Designated a UNESCO World Heritage landscape, Colombia’s Coffee Triangle offers a verdant tapestry of rolling Andean foothills and emerald plantations. This region is the sensory heart of the country, where the aroma of freshly roasted beans fills the air and life moves at a gentle, rural pace.
Travelers can hike beneath the towering wax palms of the Cocora Valley or wander the vibrant, colorful streets of colonial towns like Salento. The experience is anchored by stays in beautifully restored traditional haciendas, where guests enjoy private coffee tastings and birdwatching excursions in lush gardens, ensuring a peaceful immersion into authentic Colombian culture.
Medellin
Welcome to Medellin! Colombia's second largest city located in the north-western Antioquia Department, known as the "City of Eternal Spring" due to its year round pleasant weather.
Hailed as the 'City of Eternal Spring,' Medellín has blossomed into one of South America’s most innovative and captivating metropolises. Nestled in the temperate Aburrá Valley, the city invites exploration of its remarkable transformation through art and culture, from the oversized sculptures of Botero Plaza to the vibrant graffiti tours of Comuna 13.
Just beyond the urban edge, guests can climb the towering Piedra del Peñol for sweeping views of Guatapé’s emerald reservoir. Home to a sophisticated culinary scene and the trendy, leafy district of El Poblado, Medellín offers a dynamic and comfortable cultural immersion that perfectly complements the country’s rural landscapes.
