Carnival season brings Brazil to life. Warm and humid across much of the country, with Rio and the northeast full of music and color. Excellent for cultural experiences and vibrant city life, though advance planning is essential.
Temperatures remain high, but rainfall starts to ease. A good month for exploring cities and enjoying Iguaçu Falls at its most powerful. The Amazon is lush and accessible by river, with fewer crowds than in high summer.
One of the best months to visit. Drier air, comfortable temperatures, and clearer skies. Ideal for visiting the Pantanal wetlands as wildlife becomes more visible, and for enjoying cultural trips through Minas Gerais and Bahia.
Excellent for nature and culture. The Pantanal transitions into dry season, making wildlife spotting superb. The Amazon remains green but less humid, and the beaches are peaceful with pleasant weather.
Cool mornings, mild days, and dry weather in most regions. A top month for photography, national parks, and Amazon river cruising. Southern Brazil enjoys clear, crisp air and lively winter festivals.
Dry season in the Pantanal and central Brazil, bringing extraordinary wildlife viewing. Cooler in São Paulo and the south, while the northeast coast enjoys ideal beach conditions. Popular month for safaris and families.
Warm, dry, and one of the best times for wildlife across the Pantanal and Amazon. Excellent light for photography and calm sea conditions along the Atlantic coast. A strong month for first-time visitors.
Still dry and very comfortable. The Amazon canopy is alive with birds and monkeys, and the beaches of Bahia and Fernando de Noronha are at their best. Perfect for combining city, nature, and coast.
Temperatures rise again, and some rain returns to the interior, refreshing the scenery. Great for a blend of wildlife, culture, and relaxed coast travel.
Hotter and more humid, but very green and full of life. The Amazon and Iguaçu are especially beautiful after the first rains. Great for travelers who enjoy dramatic landscapes.

Where to go in Brazil
Drift along Amazon channels for rainforest wildlife and indigenous culture. Cross the Pantanal’s open wetlands to spot jaguars, capybaras, and rich birdlife. In Rio de Janeiro, ride cable cars, walk coastal paths, and enjoy vibrant neighborhoods. Each region offers a distinct rhythm, from quiet forest mornings to golden-hour views over the bay.
Rio de Janeiro
Experience the vigour of the most popular city in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, where the iconic annual Carnival meets delicious cuisine and cultural landmarks.
Known globally as the 'Marvelous City,' Rio de Janeiro offers a sensory masterpiece where granite peaks plunge directly into the Atlantic Ocean. The city’s rhythm is defined by the golden sands of Ipanema and Copacabana, where the vibrant Carioca lifestyle of sun, surf, and samba takes center stage.
For a change of pace, the lush Tijuca National Park wraps around the urban core, offering the chance to spot monkeys and toucans in the world's largest urban rainforest. Whether enjoying a private sunset at the foot of Christ the Redeemer or retreating to an iconic beachfront palace, Rio delivers an intoxicating blend of natural drama and sophisticated culture.
The Amazon
Explore the Amazon Rainforest during your holiday in Brazil, seeking out nature's most well-kept secrets.
Encompassing the planet’s most vital ecosystem, the Brazilian Amazon offers a journey of profound scale and sensory immersion. Here, the adventure is defined by the rhythm of the river. Guests can navigate the dark waters of the Rio Negro in private skiffs to spot pink river dolphins and kaleidoscope birdlife in the flooded forests.
On land, guided treks reveal the medicinal secrets of the jungle and offer respectful encounters with indigenous communities. Whether aboard a boutique expedition vessel or relaxing in an architectural eco-lodge, the experience combines deep comfort with the raw power of nature, actively supporting the conservation of this global treasure.
The Pantanal
Visit the Pantanal during your luxury holiday in Brazil, experiencing mother nature at its finest and spotting the best of Brazil wildlife.
While the Amazon is known for its mystery, the Pantanal is defined by its spectacular visibility. As the world's largest tropical wetland, this vast open landscape acts as a wildlife amphitheater, offering South America’s highest concentration of fauna. It is globally recognized as the best place on Earth to track the elusive jaguar, often spotted hunting caiman along the riverbanks.
The flat, flooded grasslands are best explored by boat or on horseback alongside local Pantaneiro cowboys, revealing giant otters, capybaras, and vibrant hyacinth macaws. Guests stay in intimate ecological lodges that prioritize conservation, ensuring a luxurious and immersive front-row seat to nature’s most vibrant daily drama.
