Couples, Honeymoons and Families
Loldia House was previously a private home and this is made abundantly obvious from the moment you arrive and are welcomed as if you are simply arriving home. Owned and run by Governors Camps, one the original safari operators in Kenya, you can expect the same level of service and attention to detail that Governors is known for.
Loldia House is a family friendly property and has a lovely location on Loldia Ranch, overlooking Lake Naivasha. Access is by road; a two-hour drive from Nairobi on good, tarmac roads, or by plane using Governors Aviation; landing at Loldia Airstrip. This is a quiet spot, with the peace interrupted only by birdsong, or the rumble of hippos, or someone stopping by to ask you if you’d like another glass of chilled white wine whilst you lie in the sun and soak up the views.
There are different types of accommodation in either the main house, cottages scattered throughout the grounds or, a little further up the hill, bigger groups can take the Top Cottage; a three-bedroom set up with views you’ll never forget. All the rooms are decorated in a stylish but very comfortable cottage style, as are the main areas and meals are served in the dining area or alfresco.
Activities on offer include day-long game drives in Nakuru National Park, driving and walking in Hells Gate National Park and Eburu Forest reserve and boating on Lake Naivasha. For those looking to kick back and relax there is a small but lovely poolside spa where you can enjoy massages, body scrubs, a manicure or a pedicure.
