Jongomero Camp

Jongomero Camp is set in true wild Africa. Located in the south of the rugged Ruaha National Park, right on the banks of the Jongomero river, this beautiful spot is idyllic, unspoilt, and secluded.

Easy to reach from the Jongomero airstrip, just five minutes away, and an hour and a half plane journey away from Dar es Salaam, the camp has a faraway feel without being difficult to access.

The park is a special area where the Eastern and Southern biomes intersect, resulting in a phenomenal diversity of wildlife. Renowned for bird watching, and home to the largest amount of elephants in any African park, a stay in this park is set to be incredibly memorable. 

Shaded by a canopy of trees, the tented camp itself is luxurious and intimate. The bar, lounge, and restaurant have wonderful views of the immediate surroundings, and the high thatched roofs are characterful and eye-catching.

Stay in one of eight huge and thoughtfully laid out tents built on raised wooden decks. Canvas interiors are covered by thatched roofs, and your roll-up front door opens out on to a private veranda.

Sleep in a lavish emperor bed and be woken up to a morning tea tray. Enjoy reading in the lodge library, or try a classic cocktail while getting to know the other guests and friendly staff.

The raised outdoor pool is a wonderful facility which has beautiful views of the river bank. Enjoy exclusive four seat game drives, and have the choice to make it private.
