Stay in a magical thatched circular lodge with opulent interiors, romantic lighting, and beautiful African artwork. Take in spectacular views of the crater from your own room and enjoy onsite facilities, which make for a luxurious stay. Have a truly exclusive stay in the care of a personal butler who will complete any request, big or small. Enjoy complimentary laundry services, a personal fireplace, and electric blankets for ultimate comfort. To top it all off, end a day exploring with a luxury rose petal bubble bath. Explore this phenomenal environment with guided walks, game drives, village visits, and lake excursions. Guided walking safaris follow routes around the crater rim, while morning and afternoon game drives take you right into the crater in 20 minutes. Watch dancing and browse intricate handicrafts in a village visit, or visit the stunning Empakaai Crater. For something a little bit more intimate, you can book a private bush breakfast or lunch or simply spend the evening having a relaxing sundowner. The dining and drawing room and lounge areas are undeniably elegant, with soft lighting, a well-appointed bar, and beautiful views of the crater. Enjoy organic classic fine dining in the dining room with crystal and silver crockery and cutlery, accompanied by top international wines.

The Lodge

Nestled on the rim of the crater, the charming houses are an undeniably eye-catching sight. Guests can enjoy lavish and warm-toned colonial-style interiors protected by unique artisan banana leaf ceilings and grass roofs. Rooms are filled with carefully selected furnishings and decorations, from silk curtains to generously sized leather chairs. The spacious living and dining areas, along with the viewing decks looking out to the crater, make for a truly memorable stay. En-suite bathrooms are no less impressive; a deep freestanding bathtub, warm wood, and a separate toilet room are remarkably lavish. The central dining area and lounge are furnished with plush seating, and the bar is a definite hit in the evenings, serving a great selection of international classics. Guests can browse the craft and curio shop, and the lodge karts are available to transport guests and their luggage when it is needed.
