A rustic, tented camp on the outskirts of Kanha National Park, Shergarh Tented Camp is ideal for those on a safari in India. With a focus on providing wildlife and authentic cultural experiences, Shergarh Tented Camp is a family run camp.

With a large population of tigets, Kanha is inhibited by a range of wildlife including four species of deer, wild-boar, antelopes, the sloth bear and leopards. Also known as Kanha Tiger Reserve, the park is situated in the Indian state Madhya Paresh, where animals gather at the park’s waterhole.

Shergarh Tented Camp offers a more private game viewing experience as its location is much quieter than other areas in and around the park.

With only 6 spacious and well-appointed tents featuring elegant furnishings, the private and personalised experience at the camp is impeccable and the friendly owners, Jehan and Katie, will ensure your stay is a pleasant one.

Shergarh Tented Camp is an ideal stay for families as the camp offers family-friendly amenities and bird-enthusiast, where a range of birds can be spotted from from the Main house, including kingfisher and cormorants.

The camp

Shergarh Tented Camp features 6 tents with a rustic extrior but an luxuriously designed interior. Each of the six luxury ensuit tents consists of locally crafted furniture, a bamboo door that opens up to a spacious bathroom and a private and cushioned veranda.

Shergarh offer dining at the Main house with traditional Indian food & continental cuisine. Most of the food items like fruits, vegetables & salad ingredients are taken from the in house garden or from nearby villages to keep a good care of your appetite.

Onsite facilities at Shergarh Tented Camp are limited as the camp's main focus is on the surrounding nature, wildlife and village tours.
