Mazike Valley Lodge is the refurbished former Kyambura Gorge Lodge. Offering fantastic views out across Queen Elizabeth National Park and all the way across the Rwenzori Mountains.
With eight spread out and spacious cottages, all designed in a classic ‘Safari style’ you’ll enjoy comfort and understated elegance for your stay here. The cottages are built from locally sourced materials and are tastefully designed to sit in your natural bush setting. All en-suite with lovely dug out bathtubs and your own private balcony to enjoy the fabulous view.
The cottages are separated in to four on either side of the main dining and lounge area, offering restaurant, bar and pool to cool off on those hot afternoons! Wander down to the sundowner deck in the evenings or take a spot by the campfire to swap stories with your fellow travellers.
The location of the lodge is ideal for those looking to explore some of Queen Elizabeth NP, perfectly situated for those looking head out chimp trekking in Kyambura Gorge. Or of course explore the park with game drives or a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel.

The Lodge
Accommodation at Mazike Valley Lodge consists of 8 cottages, 3 doubles and 5 twins. All en-suite with showers and dug out bathtubs and lovely hot or cold water! The rooms all offer private wooden balcony’s and are designed in a way that offers great privacy even when close to another cottage.
The cottages are spread out 4 on either side of the main dining area. This consists of the reception, lounge, restaurant, and bar. All open and offering views down to the sundowner deck and across to the national park. There is also a small pool to cool off during the hot afternoons, and a lovely campfire are to enjoy a drink and meet fellow travellers on a cold evening.
The three double cottages offer the best views and are ideal for those looking for a romantic getaway or honeymoon location.
Facilities
The property features as small swimming pool, restaurant, bar and lounge area. Take a dip or warm your hands by the campfire. There is also a great sundowner deck for the evenings.
Dining
The restaurant serves a combination of international cuisine and local specialties. All meals are a la carte and served in the main restaurant. For a more romantic dinner a table under the stars can be organized.

The design of the buildings is created from locally sourced stone and thatch with traditional roofing materials such as banana fibres allowing the lodge to blend in to surroundings and keep with the Ugandan touch!
