Delve deeper into Uganda’s rainforest at Kibale Forest Camp. A place for wildlife lovers as you will be spoilt for choice with activities to do around the campgrounds and within it.
Enjoy your stay in one of their 10 African safari tents, all equipped with en-suite facilities, hot water, and private balcony.
After a full day of chimpanzee tracking, refuel your body with their set menu 4-course dinner in the lush surroundings. You might even hear the call of a wood owl or perhaps the rustling of the trees as monkeys swing about.
During the day, the private balcony is the perfect place to watch the red or black and white colobus monkeys at play. You might be able even to spot more than one of the 370 bird species that live in Kibale. Asides from the monkeys, birds, there are also wild butterflies to spot.
The staff are all locally hired and prepared make sure that your stay is as comfortable as possible. Upon request, your morning call can be a hot cup of fresh coffee or tea served right on your balcony.
The camp is just a ten-minute drive away from the Kanyanchu Visitor, where the Chimpanzee trail begins. Should you have the energy to spare, from this location one can get to the crater lakes, Mount Rwenzoria, Mahoma waterfalls, Bigodi Swamp Walk, night treks and tea estates. Finally, take a relaxed stroll to the nearby village, interact with locals and share your adventures over some banana beer.
On the property, there are 7 non-self contained tents and 10 African Safari tents. The non-self contained tents are all are furnished with comfortable beds, a bedside table, and outlets for charging personal electronics. Guests share a communal eco-bathroom and showers. The African Safari Tents offer double or twin beds, dressing room, electrical outlets, en-suite eco-toilet, hot shower and a private balcony with lounge chairs.
The bar and restaurant sit in harmony with the rest of the surroundings overlooking the garden. This cozy area of the camp is the perfect setting to have your breakfast, 2-course lunch and 4-course dinner. The restaurant provides set menus but they can be adjusted to suit dietary requirements if given prior notice.
Besides the essentials, most facilities in Kibale Forest Camp revolves around the surrounding nature and activities.

Asides from its prime location within the Kibale Forest National Park, all the staff of Kibale Forest Camp are hired from the local community. While the tents, furnishings and the bathroom facilities were constructed to be eco-friendly. This all contributes back to supporting the local community and the sustainability of the rainforest.
