Tucked away in Nkuringo, the less travelled southern sector of the famous Bwindi National Park. We have Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge, offering immediate access to track 6 gorilla families, and perfect, uninterrupted views of the Virunga Volcanoes.
Guests stay in cottages built of volcanic stone, with big sitting rooms, double-sided fireplaces, vast overstuffed armchairs, large bathrooms, and private verandas. Personal butlers, delicious food from our organic vegetable garden, a massage spa and infinite attention-to-detail complete your stay.
Nkuringo offers a remote area for your trekking adventures but be warned the terrain here can be a little steep at times depending on where the Gorilla families are currently residing. Whilst Gorilla trekking is the main lure to this location do consider a bird watching tour with 348 species to tick off your list it is not to be missed! How about a trek to the Munyaga waterfall or visit the amazing last people of the Batwa tribes, they call these mountains home and strive to keep their cultural practices alive in an ever-changing world.
Better still, consider the less known Gorilla Habituation experience – only on offer in the Nkuringo region and a real special treat for those involved!

The Lodge
With only seven rooms this is a beautiful, boutique property that manages to offer the warm homely feeling whilst offering a luxury stay. The main lodge is designed almost in the style of a ski lodge, offering sweeping views across the mountains and a warm atmosphere for you to relax and dine in.
Every room is its own private cottage, built from volcanic stone found in the local area these cottages stay cool on the hot days and warm up nicely once the fire is lit on a cold evening. Two cottages offer two en-suite bedrooms creating the ideal environment for families or close friends to travel together. Every cottage is equipped with its own private lounge with plush, comfy couches and wonderful fireplaces. Furthermore, each cottage comes with your own personal butler to ensure attentive and fantastic service throughout your stay!
Facilities
Enjoy the private butler service, massages on offer and delightful service. The main lodge offers a large fireplace and comfortable lounge if you feel like being social. Gorilla trekking, community walks and much more available in the area.
Dining
All meals are included within your stay, using fresh, local produce to create delectable dishes. Dine in the main lounge or on the hot afternoons enjoy lunch outdoors as you take in the sweeping views on offer.
