Trip Itinerary

Days 1-2: Bangkok

Day 1 - Airport Meet & Transfer to Hotel

We will meet you on arrival at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK) airport, where you will be greeted with a Wayfairer welcome sign, and then transferred to your hotel for check-in. Your guide will meet you at your hotel this evening to brief you about your tour and to recommend some great dining options. 

Day 2 - Bangkok City Tour

Today, you will have a locally guided tour of Bangkok and travel like a local using a number of varied transport options to include klong (canal) boat, public bus, the Chao Phraya River public ferry and the elevated BTS or Skytrain. Bangkok is gaining recognition for its art, culture, food, shopping, hospitality and affordability. The city combines some of Asia’s oldest and most elaborately adorned temples with modern shopping malls and skyscrapers – a city that packs in so many sights and attractions you won’t know where to begin. However, your friendly and knowledgeable local guide will give you a helping hand and introduce you to some of Bangkok’s most famous sights - including the impressive Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew and Wat Po. 

Days 3-5: Kanchanaburi

Day 3 - Floating Markets and Drive to Kanchanaburi

This morning we visit Damneon Saduak floating market, which is around 12km south of Downtown Bangkok. We will head out on a long boat to explore the klongs before having lunch. We then drive to Kanchanaburi where we board a longtail boat to the incredible tented boutique River Camp. This extraordinary boutique River Kwai accommodation is the perfect place to relax in the abundant nature of the region.

Day 4 - Bridge Over the River Kwai

This morning we visit the famous bridge on the River Kwai, Kanchanaburi War Cemetery before we board the train along the Death Railway. There is an excellent museum, the Thai Burma Railway Museum, to explore as part of our stop where you will learn more about the POW’s experience as well as viewing a section of the infamous Burma Death Railway. This afternoon we return back to your accommodation where you are free to relax, take some kayaks out on the lake or take part

Day 5 - Erawan National Park

This morning we head out of Kanchanaburi to explore the beautiful Erawan National Park, with the wonderful trails and waterfalls. This afternoon we return back to Jungle Rafts where you are free to relax, take some kayaks out on the lake or take part in many of the other activities available.

Day 6: Chiang Rai

This morning we have a relaxing start before checking out of the hotel. We then head to Bangkok airport for your flight to Chiang Rai. Upon arrival we get you all checked in your hotel and have tour of the Golden Triangle. This evening we will head out to visit the Night Market.

Day 7: Mae Kampong Homestay

After breakfast we visit the white temple of Wat Rhong Khun and during the afternoon we then drive to the Kok River where we board a longtail boat and journey along the river towards Ta Thon. The trip along the Kok River allows us time to enjoy the surroundings before disembarking at Thaton.

We then drive for an hour and a half into the northern hill region around Mae Kampong. The district is perfect for meeting these colourful hill tribe people who can give you an insight into their unique lifestyle and customs.

Days 8-10: Chiang Mai

Today you'll transfer to Thailand's cultural capital Chiang Mai via car. Upon arrival we will transfer to the hotel where you are free to relax for a few hours. This evening we take you out for a traditional Kantoke dinner, a local gem where you’ll be served the best Thai cuisine has to offer.

Day 9 - Cookery Class & Tour of Chiang Mai

This morning we wake up before 6am and head to the base of Chiang Mai Hill to watch the monks descending into the city as the sun rises to collect their alms for the day. Your guide will explain the alms-giving tradition, and help you make offerings to the young monks as they filed down the hill. If there is time we will continue on up the mountain to Wat Prah That Doi Suthep, before we start our tour of Chaing Mai. This evening with a walk around the Chiang Mai night market.

Day 10 - Elephant Nature Park

This morning we visit the Elephant Nature Camp for their full day adventure. A fantastic experience and a great chance to get hands on with these majestic animals at a park which truly cares for the animals.

Days 11-12: Hmong Lodge

This morning we head to a local farm outside Chiang Mai. We start by collecting the ingredients before diving into our Thai cookery lesson, finishing with your own cooked lunch. This afternoon we head into the hill-tribe region outside of Chiang Mai, taking in incredible views before arriving at Hmong Lodge. This evening we enjoy a wonderful buffet dinner and a show of Hmong sing and dance performed by local villagers

Day 12 - Exploring the Hill-tribe Region

Today we take a full interactive tour around the local hill-tribes, seeing where the elephants are used by locals for work and not for tourism, small family owned shops and communities going about their daily lives. This afternoon we head back to the accommodation to relax and enjoy another night of dinner and dance.

Day 13: Surat Thani

Day 13 - Fly to Surat Thani and Transfer to Khao Sok

This morning we check out of your hotel as your guide transfers you back to Chiang Mai. En route we will stop at the famous Doi Suthep temple where you can take some fastastic photos with the impressive view over Chiang Mai, and learn more about the site itself.

We then continue our journey to the airport for your flight to Surat Thani. You are met on arrival and are swiftly escorted to your chosen accommodation in the area. During the evening you are free to explore and relax.

Day 14: Kao Sok

Today you have a range of full day tours to choose from to really get the most out of your Khao Sok experience. Excursions such as the Sok canoe tour, full day rafting, trek and cave adventure and also the elephant treks and river tubing can all be incorporated into your tailor made itineraries. 

Days 15-18: Phuket

This morning we check out of our accommodation at Khao Sok and take a private vehicle to your hotel on Phuket. Here we settle in for our final nights on the beach.

Day 16 - Hong by Starlight Cruise

This morning we get picked up for an incredible day of island hopping, kyaking and exploring hidden caves. The day finishes with an amazing kayak under the starlight where we set free your Loi Kratong (lantern). A fantastic experience you’ll never forget. We return to the hotel at around 9.30PM.

Day 17 - Free day in Phuket

Spend the next two days taking a break from your trip to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of this tropical paradise. 

Day 18 - Free day in Phuket

You may wish to explore the numerous beaches and coves around the island or perhaps lounge by the pool. Phuket has a variety of eateries that serve international cuisines, bars and specialty cafes. Day 19: Fly home

Day 19 - Return home

Today you have most of the day to enjoy Phuket and then we will drive you to the airport for the flight home.
