Potato Bush is set in a prime location along the banks of the mighty Zambezi River in the Lower Zambezi National Park, a mecca for many safari enthusiasts when visiting southern Africa.

Perfect For

Families (children aged 4 & over), adults and honeymooners.

The camp offers spectacular views over nearby islands and channels which are teaming with various African wildlife.

Given the central location of Potato Bush, it allows for some of the most amazing safari and game experiences around! Being on the river allows guests the chance of going out by boat or canoe and having the unique perspective and photo opportunities you would not normally have using traditional game vehicles. The ability to add fishing to the list of activities is also a nice inclusion and something just a little bit different to other camps and lodges in the park.

The Lower Zambezi is famous for its big game and the guiding here at Potato Bush is superb and very professional. Great guides make all the difference when on safari and Potato Bush has ensured only the highest level of guiding is offered.

Due to the remoteness of the camp, it is rare to see other game vehicles in the area and the intimate size of the camp itself ensures the guests receive a more personalised safari experience.

Offering contemporary African design, the camp consists of a main lounge, bar and dining area as well as three luxury double tents as well as a 2-bedroom family house All areas are private and joined by raised timber boardwalks.

Both accommodation options offer space and comfortable furnishings with a sense of authentic safari and luxury.

The journey to the camp itself is a highlight on its own. The total travel time from Lusaka to the camp is approximately two hours.

Activities here include day and night drives, walking safaris, canoeing and boat cruises. Walking and canoeing activities are only for guests aged 12 and above.
