Honeymooners, Couples & Families
Set in the midst of the striking beauty of the 67,000 acre Kulala Wilderness Reserve, Little Kulala is a beautiful sanctuary in the desert.
It is one of the best located lodges for accessing the Namib-Naukluft National Park, home to Namibias famous dunes and pans, and as soon as you arrive youll be treated to stunning views over the sea of sand.
The vast desert isnt all youll see - the lodge overlooks a waterhole which attracts wildlife such as oryx, springbok, jackal, ostrich and bat-eared fox. Night time is just as breathtaking, as the clear, dark skies illuminate in millions of dazzling stars.
You can take it all in from some of the best seats in the house, as each of the 11 luxury thatched villas feature a skybed, designed for stargazing or even sleeping under the stars.
The villas also feature plush king-sized beds, indoor and outdoor showers and a private plunge pool on the verandah, where you can gaze out over the wild savannah and watering hole.
Each villa has been designed to immerse the guests in their incredible surroundings, and maximise their view of these natural wonders. Even the interior design is styled to reflect the wild nature just outside.
With Little Kulalas incredible location, youll be well-placed to explore the desert, with guided drives to the mesmerising dunes through a private gate in the reserve, and game drives and nature walks through the private reserve to see desert-adapted wildlife wandering the plains.
The camp also offers horse riding, eco-friendly quad biking in the dunes, an Olympus Photo Hub experience, and even a spectacular hot air balloon safari over the dunes at dawn.
Little Kulala has just 11 luxury villas (known as kulalas), including a Family Suite for children over six years old, with the option of adding extra beds to each villa. Each kulala has a thatched roof with a skybed for night-time stargazing and sleeping under the stars, and a verandah with a private plunge pool. The villas have indoor and outdoor showers and are cleverly designed to be climate-controlled in the harsh Namibian weather.
The main lodge has a beautifully decorated lounge with a stone wall resembling a giraffe pattern, while the restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining areas. The friendly staff are able to cook up local Namibian and traditional European dishes. The fantastic wine cellar offers an extensive variety of South African and vintage worldly wines.
Relax in your skybed or private plunge pool, or mingle in the comfortable lounge. Explore the library full of books about the region, or visit the craft boutique with gorgeous souvenirs.
Dine under the stars in the outdoor boma, or enjoy your meals in your private villa. The camp can also arrange special dinners in the desert, where youll enjoy a magnificent view of Namibias starry night skies.
Little Kulala focuses on the social and environmental conservation of Namibia, and shares a deep connection with this land. The camp is eco-friendly, while their conservation efforts focus on biodiversity, the protection of the wildlife and ecosystems, and the preservation of local cultures. A percentage of their profits goes directly towards their conservation and sustainability initiatives.
