Set amidst an incredible conservancy in north eastern Namibia, and teeming with wildlife, Nkasa Lupala Tented Lodge is the perfect mix of plush comfort and untamed wilderness.
Less than a kilometre from Nkasa Rupara National Park and surrounded by wetlands, this undeveloped region is reminiscent of Botswana’s Okavango Delta. Indeed some of the finest safari regions in northern Botswana are to be found a short distance from the lodge, across the Kwando River separates the two countries.
A rich area, with a vast variety of wildlife, animals can be drawn to the area, particularly in the dry season to drink and bathe in the swamps, wetlands and lakes of Nkasa Rupara.
Nkasa Lupala Lodge offers a range of activities and excursions from the camp, with knowledgeable guides available to show you the highlights of the region.
During times of high water the lodge has its own dock and offers an enjoyable boat cruise along a channel of the Kwando-Linyanti river, showcasing a unique landscape and variety of bird and animal life.
If water levels are too low, then the lodge offers walking safaris, visits to local villages and the usual day and night safari drives.
Expect to see a diverse amount of species, and this region is favoured by travellers who have been on traditional safaris and want a chance to see and savour a more remote region of Namibia.
