Begin your luxury holiday in the Nairobi National Park, Africa’s famous safari in the city. You’ll explore this small national park whilst you settle in to your adventure, combined with trips to the famous Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe Centre in Karen it’s the perfect introduction for your special trip. This small gem is often overlooked, however with thriving lion populations and rhino still in abundance it offers a fantastic starting point for you.

Next, you’ll fly to the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most famous and abundant national parks. You’ll stay in a gorgeous luxury safari camp right on the banks of the famous Talek river, in the midst of all  the action and just up river from a major crossing point for the famous Wildebeest herds in the right season.

Your luxury tour comes to an end in Kenya’s south coast, where you can while you’re your time with your favourite book and a view of the Indian ocean or get active on the or under the blue water! You’ll spend your last few nights in a stunningly lavish private villa set on a stretch of peaceful beach offering exclusivity for your luxury finish.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 & 2 Nairobi

Day 1 - Arrive in Nairobi and transfer to Nairobi National Park

On arrival in Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), you’ll be met by a Wayfairer representative to meet your private driver who will transfer you through to Nairobi National Park and your first accommodation of Ololo Safari Lodge, where you stay for two nights. The drive to your lodge will take around forty-five minutes and you’ll have the chance to start spotting wildlife as you travel through the national park.

Ololo Safari Lodge is a lovely converted farm that looks over the national park, being owner run it’s the perfect welcome for your journey. Set in a gorgeous natural setting, you can spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool or enjoying a walk around the farm. You will begin your wildlife spotting on your drive in, and time permitting head out on a short game drive this afternoon to enjoy your first East African sundowner. You’ll adore the beautiful room all with hand-made furnishing made right on site by the fundis, talented craftsmen. The lovely garden settings make for a peaceful first day in Kenya.  

Day 2 – Exploring Nairobi National Park & Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage

Today is your first full day in Kenya, you have the choice to wake early and head out on your first safari! Nairobi national park is the unique setting of wide-open grass plains with the backdrop of city scrapers, the scattered acacia bushes host a wide array of wildlife including endangered black rhino. At only 117 sq km this is one of Africa’s smallest national parks with an abundance of wildlife for you to spot such as, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes, and diverse birdlife with over 400 species recorded.

Alternatively take a lazy morning if you arrived late yesterday, enjoy the fantastic breakfast on offer and enjoy the views across the park perhaps spotting some animals across the river. Visit the farm and chat to some of the lovely staff.

This afternoon take another drive in to the park, or head to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust this backs on to the national park meaning you can game drive right up to the gates in time for a visit at feeding time for the orphaned elephants. This is an incredible experience where you can get up close to some of the animals kept here, adopt an elephant before hand to get exclusive access at the afternoon feeding time.

Day 3-6 Masai Mara Reserve

Day 3 – Fly to the Masai Mara

This morning you’ll head to Wilson airport to catch your first light aircraft flight of the trip! This is an experience in itself, so keep your camera handy as you fly low across the country to the Masai Mara. On arrival enjoy your game drive to your luxurious camp o the banks of the Talek river.

You stay at Naibor Camp for 4 nights in a luxury safari tent. This is a contemporary, stylish camp situated on the peaceful southern banks of the Talek river, just 2km’s upstream from where the Mara and the Talek river meet – a hot spot during river crossing in the migration season. This is a luxurious camp where you’ll enjoy privacy in each tented suite, with pale canvas sides this is the ultimate tented experience as you fall asleep to the sounds of The Mara.

Enjoy wildlife viewing right from the comfort of camp as you are located right in the heart of the action! Or take some time to visit the Naibor Spa as you massage away the bumps of the road whilst listening to hippos wallow below.

You have three full days to explore the wonders of The Mara, Naibor camp is perfectly located to allow you to enjoy every corner. Activities focus on the truly superb wildlife found in the direct vicinity, however bush walks and hot air balloon rides are extremely popular.

The great migration typically occurs from July – November, however it is heavily influenced by the rains. Naibor Camps is about 2km from the point where the Talek River flows into the Mara River, just about the very heart of the Masai Mara National Reserve. This is a superb location from which to explore the Masai Mara habitat, host to a vast array of wildlife. Many species of herbivores and ungulates support the many carnivores living here. 

This reserve is truly beautiful, the mosaic of rolling hills, open grassland and acacia woodland support an incredible diversity of and abundance of wildlife. The Masai Mara National Reserve is 1500sqkm, with a surrounding dispersal area of approximately the same size again. The Masai Mara is exclusively in Kenya but borders Tanzania and the Serengeti National Park to the south. The Masai Mara is the northern most part of the great Serengeti/Mara ecosystem.

Day 7-12 Diani Beach

Today you leave the bush behind for the final part of your exclusive adventure. Catch you’re your second light aircraft flight right across the country to the azure blue waters of Diani beach and the southern Kenya coast.

You’re final destination is the exclusive Msambweni Villas, owner run, this secluded property is the only place of note on this stretch of beach and one of our favourites in the area. Looking out over a remote and pristine beach, lapped by azure blue waters, thus beautiful, boutique property is an intimate slice of paradise on Kenya’s coast, ideal for that complete 'get away' experience. You have four full days to soak up the Kenyan sun and enjoy the Indian ocean in all its glory.

 The Mombasa area on Kenya's east coast boasts endless white beaches, coral reefs, watersports and an ancient, exotic culture. Diani Beach is surrounded by the protected reef corals of the Mombasa Marine National Park and Reserve - diving and snorkelling are the best ways to explore the amazing life beneath the waves, or you can also embark on a glass-bottomed boat trip, allowing you to spot turtles, coral and colourful fish.

Day 12 – Return to Nairobi for flight home

It is time to say farewell this morning as you check out of Msambweni Beach House. You will be transferred to Diani Airstrip to catch the final light aircraft back to Nairobi.

On arrival you are met by a private driver who will transfer you through to JKIA in time for your return international flight back home, bringing this luxury and exclusive holiday to and end.
