Our Argentina family adventure will take you and your loved ones through the country’s most magical destinations, while staying in picturesque properties where you can soak up the rich Argentine culture.
You’ll start in Buenos Aires, an exciting city where you can learn to tango, watch a thrilling football match, walk down the widest avenue in the world, and soak up the fascinating history of the old barrios (neighbourhoods).
Next, you’ll visit the Iguazú Falls, one of the greatest natural wonders in the world. You’ll tour the jungle, seeing the unique wildlife and rainforest plants before witnessing the largest waterfall system in the world from three different viewpoints.
Venture south to Bariloche, an adventure playground set within Argentina’s breathtaking Lake District. Surrounded by dazzling lakes and towering mountains, here you’ll stay in a luxurious retreat offering a range of activities from trekking and horse riding, to kayaking and sailing.
Finally, you’ll head back to Buenos Aires, this time heading to the Pampas on the outskirts of the city. A huge expanse of tranquil farmlands, you’ll stay on a beautiful estancia (a ranch) with a local gaucho family. You’ll learn about the traditional gaucho farming life and roam the gorgeous estate filled with parklands, horse stables, a golf course and swimming pool.

You’ll be greeted at Ezeiza International Airport in Buenos Aires by a Wayfairer representative who will escort you in your private car to Nuss Hotel, your accommodation for the next two nights. You’ll receive a complimentary bottle of water as you cruise through the city to the trendy Palermo area in the heart of Buenos Aires.
Nuss Hotel is nestled within the bohemian neighbourhood of Palermo Soho, next the the colourful Plaza Serrano. A former Spanish-style convent, it is now a luxurious hotel, with exquisite rooms and a sauna. You can spend the evening strolling around the nearby cafes, restaurants, boutiques and galleries.
After breakfast, you’ll meet your private English-speaking guide in your hotel lobby, for a half day city tour of Buenos Aires. Your guide will take you to all the gems of this lively city, beginning with a walk down Avenida 9 de Julio, the widest avenue in the world.
You’ll then head to magnificent Teatro Colon Opera House, walk around the Plaza de Mayo and Casa Rosada, the famous pink government house, then wander through La Boca and San Telmo, the historical Italian-immigrant districts where Buenos Aires was born. Stroll through the trendy Puerto Madero district, where the docklands have been refurbished with excellent restaurants, chic cafes and stylish locals. Move on to the Recoleta neighbourhood, where you’ll find a vast cemetery filled with graves of Argentina’s greatest people.
Your tour will end back in Palermo, although your expert guide will be happy to point you the direction of other fantastic spots to explore. Your guide will also adapt the tour to your personal interests, so let the guide know if your family is particularly interested in the food, history, architecture or culture of the city.
Enjoy breakfast before being picked up by your private driver and transferred to Jorge Newbery airport for your domestic flight to Puerto Iguazú. On arrival at the airport, you’ll be met by your English-speaking chauffeur guide and driven in your private car to Posada Puerto Bemberg, your accommodation for the next three nights.
Posada Puerto Bemberg is a stunning jungle lodge located at the entrance the Iguazú National Park, with views to the river and access to exclusive jungle trails. You’ll be immersed in nature, surrounded by dense lush jungle, incredible wildlife, and the biggest waterfall in the world.
After breakfast, your private English-speaking chauffeur guide will meet you at your hotel to begin your adventure to the mighty Iguazú Falls. This thundering spectacle is the largest waterfall system in the world and a powerful display of nature.
Your entrance fees to the Argentine side of the park are included, and you’ll get to see the falls from three viewpoints, moving between each point on the Green Train. The whole family will enjoy the ride on this ecological train circuit that snakes through the jungle along the river.
Walk the Upper Circuit for incredible panoramic views of the falls and the river, and take the Lower Circuit for a close encounter with the magical cascades. The Lower Circuit is a system of walkways and stairways, superbly designed to offer spectacular views of the Iguazú Falls. The stairways can be quite challenging, so you may want to take it slow and soak up the enchanting atmosphere.
As you wander through the jungle, you’ll observe wildlife, plants and other wonders, and your expert guide can answer all your questions. Lastly, you’ll arrive at the roaring Devil’s Throat Gorge, an extraordinary feat of nature and a truly memorable sight.
Your stay at Posada Puerto Bemberg is on a full-board basis with all activities included, so today can be spent enjoying these activities at your leisure. We recommend taking a walk through the trails of the Misiones rainforest, where you can learn about the natural history of the region and spot incredible animals and birdlife. Go in search of squirrels, monkeys and toucans, and marvel at the massive trees, vines and lush ferns of the rainforest.
For more flora, you can visit the nursery to learn about the 50 native plant species of the rainforests and their conservation initiatives, while history buffs can visit the historic colonial chapel. Located across the Paraná river in a stunning park, the chapel is decorated with stained glass and was built by Bustillo, the famed architect. The lodge offers complimentary bicycles and helmets for adults and children, so you can cycle to all the sites around the lodge.
After breakfast, you’ll be met at the lodge and transferred to Iguazú Airport by your English-speaking chauffeur guide, for your domestic flight to Bariloche. On arrival at the airport, you’ll be met by our private driver and transferred to Llao Llao, your accommodation for the next two nights.
Llao Llao is one of the most famous and luxurious hotels in Argentina, strewn across a 15-hectare park, surrounded the the Cerro Lopez and Tronador mountains and the Moreno and Nahuel Huapi Lakes. You’ll be set at the heart of Argentina’s Lake District, a natural paradise and an adventure playground, dotted with charming towns.
Spend the afternoon exploring the hotel. There are outdoor and indoor heated infinity swimming pools, an 18-hole golf course, a beach, spa and sauna, a fitness centre and five sumptuous restaurants. Menus range from from traditional Argentine cuisine to delicious international fare, and you can enjoy your meal overlooking the beautiful hotel gardens and Nahuel Huapi Lake.
Enjoy breakfast before heading out for a full day tour of Victoria Island and Los Arrayanes National Park. You’ll take a shared transfer to Puerto Pañuelo, located 25 km from Llao Llao. You’ll then board a boat and sail for 30 minutes, touching down in Puerto Anchorena, set in the central and narrowest area of Victoria Island.
You can hike along marked trails around the island, taking you to sites such as Puerto Gross and the old town Playa del Toro, cave paintings and Cerro Bella Vista Balcony. The island is bursting with stunning scenery, rich history and natural wonders to uncover.
You’ll continue your boat ride to Quetrihué Peninsula, where you’ll find the beautiful Los Arrayanes National Park. You can walk along a decked path through lush forest with unique plant life, including fascinating white-spotted trees towering over 15 metres to create a magical canopy.
Your stay at Llao Llao is on a full-board basis with activities included, so today can be spent enjoying these activities at your leisure. You may like to go trekking through the mountains to discover incredible wildlife, go bird watching to spot some unique species, go rafting, fishing or try other water sports around the lakes. You can even try your hand at archery or rappel, if you’re feeling adventurous.
There are a huge range of activities, depending on the season. While the warmer months of October to March are the best time to visit, those who visit between July and September will enjoy the excellent skiing conditions.
Enjoy a final breakfast at Llao Llao before being picked up by your private driver and transferred to the airport for your domestic flight to Buenos Aires. On arrival at the airport, you’ll be met by your private driver and transferred to the Pampas, a vast expanse of lowlands and fertile farmlands, extending over Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil.
You’ll be visiting the Argentine Pampas region on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, where you’ll find the iconic estancias. These massive private farms and ranches are filled with crops, cattle and traditional houses, and you can see local gauchos and their horses working their land.
You’ll stay at Estancia La Eloisa, located near General Las Heras village, 90 km from Buenos Aires city. You can spend the afternoon meeting the owners of the estancia, who will offer you a warm welcome and a glimpse inside their traditional Argentine life.
You’ll stay at Estancia La Eloisa for three nights on a full-board basis, with activities included. You can spend your time here at your leisure, enjoying all the activities across the ranch. The estancia is set on ten hectares of pristine park and you can roam through the leafy fields on bicycles, in carriages and on horseback.
A 9-hole golf course is spread across the park and there are a range of other sports on offer including volleyball, tennis, football and croquet facilities. There’s also a swimming pool and a games room with a pool table, snooker and board games.
Today is another day to spend in the estancia and the Pampas at your leisure. You may like to explore more of the 400 acre estancia, with trekking, bird watching and horse riding activities on offer to take you further across the stunning landscapes.
There are two stables and a polo school with beautiful horses, and as the club is registered with the Argentina Polo Association, you can practice polo all weekend and weekdays on request. You can learn more about the estancia at the working dairy farm and children love getting involved in all the agricultural activities on the ranch.
After a long day spent exploring the region, you’ll come home to delicious menus of roasts, salads, desserts and drinks. Kick back and enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine as you gaze out over the peaceful countryside.
Sadly, your Argentinian adventure has come to an end. After breakfast, you’ll be picked up by your private driver and transferred to the international airport in Buenos Aires for your return flight home.
After two weeks spent exploring Argentina’s spectacular scenery, natural wonders, colourful culture, exciting cities, peaceful farmlands and luxurious hotels, you’ll be leaving with many special memories that your family will look back on for years to come.
