This two story, four bedroom property is tucked away from the rest of the world, on its own stretch of the Chongwe River in The Lower Zambezi National Park. This private house is the perfect spot for families and groups of friends to enjoy their safari experience. Chongwe House is a one-of-a-kind property which sleeps 4 – 8 guests and features open air bedrooms and bathrooms as well as its own private pool and large living areas.
The Lower Zambezi National Park offers a huge variety of different activities, from both boating, walking and night safaris. It is also well known for its world-class tiger fishing. Float down the river with your guide weaving in and out of pods of hippos. This is a great location for families, with a variety of extra activities to be done within the local communities, including cultural village tours and trips to local charity projects.
Throughout your stay in this beautiful property, you will have your own private guide and chef, allowing for more flexibility with timings and choices of activity. Your private chef will provide you with a huge range of different meals, with the majority of ingredients coming from local suppliers as well as from their own vegetable garden.
Much like the rest of the properties along the Chongwe River, Chongwe House is well known for its resident herds of elephants that roam around the edge of the river. Enjoy laying by the pool whilst watching an array of different species both drinking from and wading through the river.

The bathrooms are all kitted out with a waterfall-style showers and the rooms on the upper level have their own large bathtubs. All the electricity is run from solar, with charging points and fans in each room.
All the bedrooms can be set out as a double or twin configuration, providing flexibility for guests and their families. All the living areas, indoor and out have been designed with the local landscape in mind. Local materials have been used for the build of this property, bringing the feel of the local villages into your stay.
With large living areas, the property has space for large groups to relax and enjoy their afternoon siestas, whether it be laying by the pool or playing games in the lounge area. There is also a hide located very close to the house, so if you prefer to spend your downtime in camp still watching some of the different species around camp, this creates the perfect space for this.
The private house has 4 large bedrooms all with their own private bathrooms. Spacious indoor and outdoor living spaces, and a beautiful riverside pool.
With your own private chef, you will have great flexibility with dining timings. All meals are of a high standard and the chefs can cater to an array of different dietary requirements upon request.
