Chundukwa River Lodge

The lodge has five reed-and-thatch chalets perched on stilts overlooking the Zambezi River. Nestled within the trees, you’ll enjoy a private space with comfortable amenities including four-poster beds, en-suite bathrooms, suspended mosquito nets and electric blankets for winter. Named after birds, the Bee-eater, Honeyguide & Francolin Chalets have twin or King beds and showers, while the Jacana & Kingfisher Chalets have both bathtubs and showers. The Jacana can be converted to sleep four while the Kingfisher is preferred by couples.

Children of ten years and older are welcome in the chalets, however the Chundu Cottage welcomes children of all ages. The cottage has two double rooms including an ensuite and an upstairs loft, a private deck and swimming pool, a large verandah and a dedicated team to prepare your meals, including a cook, waiter and housekeepers. The onsite restaurant serves delicious meals using fresh ingredients from the garden or neighbouring farms. You can choose to have a private meal within the lodge or in the beautiful bush and you’ll enjoy breakfast on the deck with stunning views over the Zambezi River. For a special touch, you can also request wake-up tea and coffee served in your room each morning.

The lodge offers a swimming pool, game drives, boat cruises, scenic flights, fishing trips, horse riding, bushwalking, birding and day trips to the Victoria Falls.

Dining

The onsite restaurant serves delicious meals all day, using organic ingredients from the garden or from surrounding farms. You can also enjoy a private meal within the Zambian bush.
