With only one week in Peru it's best to get it just right. This honeymoon is designed to show you the best parts of the country in all their glory. Our luxury accommodations perfectly located throughout offer a chance to explore as well as chill-out fully after your wedding.
Your journey begins in Urubamba in the Sacred Valley in your own private casita of our luxury lodge Hotel Sol y Luna. This will be your base for exploring the Andes surrounding, try your hand at yoga on a SUP on a mountain lake, enjoy evenings with sundowners in your private hot-tub and trek through the expansive wilderness surrounding.
Get to know the area well before heading up to Sanctuary Lodge - the prime location of this property neighbouring Machu Picchu means that you can be the first to experience the Historical Sanctuary for a spectacular sunrise over the valley. In the afternoon, experience the Vistadome train to Ollantaytambo for a transfer to Cusco where you will stay for the night.
Rise early for the Belmond Andean Spirit of the Water overnight train to Puno. Your luxury train to Lake Titicaca will be followed by a private cruise across the water to the out-posted island of Amantaní where your private villa awaits. Throughout your journey you'll have wonderfully fulfilling experiences of each destination and get to know the ancient traditions of Andean culture.
Relax at the end in privacy and luxury, enjoying the natural beauty of Lake Titicaca before heading home energised and fulfilled.
Today is the first day of your luxury honeymoon. Flying straight out of Lima into Cusco, you will be swiftly met by our Wayfairer Travel representative at the airport and escorted to your luxury lodge in the Sacred Valley.
Hotel Sol y Luna is a Relais & Chateaux property in Urubamba offering a gorgeous outdoor infinity pool, spa and your own private casita with a jacuzzi overlooked by the surrounding Andes. This is the perfect spot to touch down and relax on the first day of your honeymoon.
Wake up in the glorious sunshine and gear up for your first day out at Piuray Lagoon.
This morning you'll be escorted to the stunning Laguna de Piuray where you'll learn how to prepare a healthy breakfast in a hands-on cooking workshop. Try out the fresh organic produce unique to the Sacred Valley, and sample to see for yourself just why Peru is regarded the culinary capital of Latin America. Following a delicious home-made breakfast paddle out onto the lagoon on your SUP and with our local teacher practice yoga whilst balancing... There's a knack to this so watch you don't fall in! After a little exertion, dive off and activate your circulatory system in the chilly waters. Upon arrival back on the shores an aperitif and a delicious lunch will be waiting for you before you trek up to the terraced viewpoint above.
This evening by an open fire indulge yourselves with a massage and head back to your hotel relaxed and sleepy after sunset.
This morning you are free to relax and make the most of your lodge's wonderful facilities.
In the afternoon you will check-out, and be collected by your driver and taken deeper into the valley. On the way to Machu Picchu Pueblo, or Aguas Calientes, you will stop off at the historical village of Ollantaytambo. This is the only village in the Sacred Valley that retains it's original Inca layout. In 1538, Manco Inca actually defeated the Spanish forces here. Climb up the steep stone steps to admire amazing monoliths that form the deeply historical and cultural Temple of the Sun.
Enjoy a traditional Pachamanca lunch at El Albergue, hidden away in Ollantaytambo's train station. Learn about Andean rituals and traditions before catching the Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes. Here you will be driven up to your lodge which neighbours Machu Picchu. Sanctuary Lodge is the closest you can get to the ancient citadel, and rest up well tonight as early in the morning you will be entering through its gates.
This morning rise at the crack of dawn to be the first soul awake to see sun-dappled Huayna Picchu. Our expert guide will lead you through the Guard House and Sun Gate all the way to the Machu Picchu citadel on a plateau of the mountains. Watch the sun rise over the mist-draped cloud forests and hear the morning calls of endemic bird species of the Andes.
Set off on a guided tour and explore the entire area of magnificent ruins, terraces and grazing alpacas. Marvel at the stunning backdrop of Huayna Picchu and dare to climb up the steep steps to gain a panoramic view of the citadel.
This afternoon head back down for a train from Aguas Calientes to Cusco. You'll arrive in the evening, in time for a sit down meal and relax in your new city lodge for the night.
This morning, embark from Cusco train station on the Andean Explorer Spirit of the Water luxury train service to Puno. This breathtaking journey traverses the Andes, towards the high altitude lake, Titicaca which borders Bolivia.

After an exquisite dinner and plentiful cocktails on board the train will reach Lake Titicaca and park up for a night's rest.
Rise this morning to streams of sunlight flooding in from Puno's expansive skies. When you disembark from your carriage our Wayfairer specialist guide will be waiting to whisk you away by speedboat across the world's highest navigable lake.
At almost 4,000 meters above sea level, Lake Titicaca is a natural marvel. The cultures of this Andean altiplano are also fittingly unique. On your boat journey today, stop off for breakfast on the Uros Floating Islands. Our insider knowledge of this destination will provide you with an authentic interaction with one of the families that live on these man-made settlements made entirely from Totora reeds.

This morning you will be escorted from your island outpost back to Puno airport for a flight back to Lima and then home.
Sadly, a week is just not enough in Peru and you'll have to book in again to come back soon. Your honeymoon has provided a fantastic taster of what's next to come.
