This luxury camp is set by a seasonal waterhole within the private Kwara Reserve in the heart of the Okavango Delta. This huge reserve is home to just one other camp, which means that guests at Splash Camp have an exclusive wildlife viewing experience.
The reserve has a reputation for its phenomenal wildlife sightings, including herds of elephant, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, tsessebe and kudu. Predators, including lion, leopard and cheetah, are regularly spotted in the Kwara Reserve, and the area is known for its regular sightings of African wild dogs. It is also a birder's paradise, with over 300 bird species recorded.
Guests at Splash Camp can experience both land and water-based activities, including game drives with highly skilled guides and trackers, night game drives, guided bush walks, boat trips, and mokoro (traditional dug-out canoe) rides in search of hippos, reptiles and a variety of exotic birds.
The land-based activities offer an opportunity to cover more ground in your search for the big game, whilst the water-based activities allow you to experience the beauty of the Okavango habitats and offer a unique perspective of wildlife at the water’s edge.
