This holiday starts in Bangkok with a locally guided tour, where you will take advantage of the unrivalled local knowledge of your Wayfairer guide. You will then head north to Chiang Mai, where you will discover the distinctive culture of northern Thailand as well as enjoying a range of activities and the local hospitality. Whilst here, you will have the chance to spend a day at Elephant Haven, the sister park of Chiang Mai's Elephant Nature Park, which is the most respected and responsible center for elephants in the country. Your penultimate stop is Khao Sok, where you can enjoy Thailand’s green jungle from your tree top accommodation, before finishing your holiday with a flourish in Phuket where you can enjoy the sun, sea and sand and simply relax at your leisure.
Upon you arrival you will be met at the airport by a Wayfairer representative and escorted to your hotel. This evening your guide will meet you are your hotel to brief you about your tour and to recommend some great dining options.
Today, you will have a locally guided tour of Bangkok and travel like a local using a number of varied transport options to include klong (canal) boat, public bus, the Chao Phraya River public ferry and the elevated BTS or Skytrain.
Bangkok is gaining recognition for its art, culture, food, shopping, hospitality and affordability. The city combines some of Asia’s oldest and most elaborately adorned temples with modern shopping malls and skyscrapers – a city that packs in so many sights and attractions you won’t know where to begin. However, your friendly and knowledgeable local guide will give you a helping hand and introduce you to some of Bangkok’s most famous palaces, Wat Phra Kaew and Wat Po.
On the way back to the hotel you will go to a temple called Wat Hualampong where your guide will show you how Thai’s can make merit. At this temple you can make a donation to buy a coffin for someone who has died but unable to afford their own burial.
This morning you will have a relaxing start before making your way to the next stop, Kanchanaburi and the River Kwai.
Upon arrival you will board a longtail boat to a camp on the river, the perfect place from which to explore the rest of the river.
This morning you will have the opportunity to visit the Elephant Nature Camp for their full day adventure. A fantastic experience and a great chance to get hands on with these majestic animals at a park which truly cares for the animals.
Spend the afternoon at leisure or participating in any of the activities put on by the hotel.
This morning you have a relaxing start before checking out of the hotel. On route back to Bangkok you will have the chance to visit the Erawan National Park, famous for it’s waterfalls.
You will then be transferred to the airport and fly to Surat Thani where you will be met and escorted to check in at your hotel.
Today you have a range of full day tours to choose from to really get the most out of your Koh Sok experience. The Sok canoe tour, full day rafting, trek and cave adventure and also the elephant treks and river tubing all work fantastically well for families, or for those who would rather relax and enjoy the atmosphere that is an option.
This morning you will check out of your accommodation and take a private vehicle to the pier to board your boat across to Koh Phi Phi.
After spending the day in relaxation this evening you will board a boat and head out towards Maya Bay. The best time to experience this amazing bay is at night when all the local tourists boats have started to go home.
After getting some amazing pictures on the beach, wait for sunset and start to swim with the plankton beneath the sea - just like Leo.
Today is a free day to explore Koh Phi Phi.
This morning you will check out of your accommodation and head back to the peir to take the boat back to Phuket.
This morning you will be get picked up for an incredible day of island hopping, kyaking and exploring hidden caves.
The day finishes with an amazing kayak under the starlight where you set free your Loi Kratong (lantern). An amazing experience you’ll never forget.
Free day to relax at your hotel, continue to explore on your own, or participate in any of the activities offered by the hotel.
Today you have most of the day to enjoy Phuket before being drive to the airport for the flight home.
