To reach this remote jungle retreat, you’ll take a scenic flight on a private airplane from Bangkok to the tiny island of Koh Mai Si, followed by a short transfer by speedboat to Soneva Kiri’s jetty.
On arrival, you’ll be welcomed by the resort’s friendly staff, including your very own ‘Mr or Ms Friday’ private butler. They’ll escort you to your spacious pool villa, either set on the sandy beach or the slopes of the rainforest.
You’ll spend your days relaxing by your private infinity pool or enjoying the myriad of Soneva Kiri experiences including hiking through the dense rainforest, exploring nearby waterfalls, diving or snorkeling around the nearby reef, trying watersports including kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding, and visiting the local fishing village.

The property
This hidden paradise melts into its natural surroundings, and the secluded villas are well-spaced out in the dense jungle, making you feel like you’re the only ones on the island. The luxurious villas are beautifully furnished, featuring outdoor bathrooms with freestanding bathtubs, private decks with outdoor dining and lounging areas, infinity pools, and amenities including air-conditioning, espresso machines, WiFi, flat screen tv, iPod docking stations and Bose sound systems.
Each villa has its own ‘Mr or Ms Friday’ butler service who will cater to your every need, and you’ll also have keys to your own personal electric buggy to take you wherever you’d like to go on the island. You can enjoy exceptional dining experiences at Soneva Kiri, including ‘Benz’s’, a gourmet Thai restaurant set on stilts, reached via a speedboat through the mangroves. There’s also ‘Treepod Dining’, where you’ll sit in a bamboo pod six meters above the rainforest canopy with your meal served by waiters on zip lines, and a fine dining restaurant offering delicious Western cuisine and spectacular views over the Gulf of Thailand.
