Lisu Lodge

Lisu Lodge is run by members of the local Lisu hill tribe, who also lead the many exciting cultural and adventurous experiences on your doorstep.

A short drive from Chiang Mai, the lodge comprises 20 spacious guest rooms, each with an en-suite and overlooking the lush fields surrounding the area. The rooms are all built in traditional Lisu style, blending modern comforts including WiFi.

Cultural visits include a guided tour of the local village, complete with a cup of tea and a conversation with the local shaman.

There is also the opportunity to explore the community garden (where your food is home-grown), enjoy a traditional Thai cooking class, and even learn to concoct a Thai feast.

Meanwhile, outdoor adventures range from hiking to white-water rafting, and from cycling tours to exploring a nearby tea plantation, where you can pluck your own leaves and brew them into a delicate, fresh drink.

The lodge is the perfect opportunity for adventurous families or couples to enjoy a cultural immersion, whilst contributing positively during their holiday.

The proceeds from the lodge are shared directly with the Lisu community, benefiting the villagers and fostering cultural exchange between locals and their guests.
