Located in the Moru Kopjes area of the South Central Serengeti, Serengeti Pioneer Camp is ideally situated right at the heart of the action; perfect access to the annual migration and the big five.
Enjoy panoramic views of Moru Kopjes and endless plains, from the camp’s few hundred feet high individual kopje.
The twelve boutique guest tents are privately spaced, one of which is a two bedroom family tent. All tents feature en-suite facilities with vintage decoration and warm furnishings, evoking the 1930s era of safari.
Graze at breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the dining tent, filled with individual table cloth covered dining tables. Spend evenings dining under the stars, where you can feast upon superb crowd pleasing gourmet food and share stories with the other guests.
Unwind in the open air lounge bar and admire phenomenal views of the extensive plains while enjoying a drink or dipping into a book. Enjoy luncheon bush dining, or spend the day on a superb game drive complete with a picnic lunch, where there is every opportunity see phenomenal animals.
Go on a sunrise drive, where you can see the stunning hues of a Tanzanian sunrise, see the wildlife come to life, and enjoy a fabulous bush breakfast.

The camp
Pioneer Camp's 12 tented accommodations take you back to the 1930s era of safari; with vintage trunks, dark wood furnishings, and lamp lighting. Tents are fully enclosed, with canvas walls and floors which are covered in gorgeous throw carpets. Enjoy the comfortable features of a queen size bed, mosquito nets, and indoor lounge chairs. Sink your feet into throw carpets, and lounge by your own writing desk with its own stationery set.
One of the rooms is a two bedroom family unit, making a perfect space for a small family or group. Every en-suite bathroom has a flushing toilet, vanity basin, and period-style solar heated hot showers. Outside your tent is some outdoor furniture which make lazy mornings that little bit more enjoyable.
The communal areas include a dining tent, where small tables are set up for all meals throughout the day. Evening meals can also be had under the stars, which is an undeniably memorable experience. Arguably the highlight of the camp is the lounge bar, which is host to stunning views across the plains, and is a great spot for a cold cocktail and other classic beverages.
