Trip Itinerary

Days 1-4: Masai Mara

Day 1 - Arrive in Nairobi & fly to Masai Mara
Day 1 - Arrive in Nairobi & fly to Masai Mara Listing Image

You are met on arrival at Nairobi Airport by our VIP meet and greet service and we then drive you to the domestic airport for your light aircraft flight west to the Masai Mara. Light aircraft flights are great adventures in their own right and you can even spot wildlife from the air as you fly in, if you're lucky. You are met on arrival at your airstrip in the Masai Mara and a representative of your camp will drive you to your accommodation where you will stay for the next four nights.

After lunch you will be able to go out into the bush on your first safari activity, as you begin your search for Africa's infamous Big 5.

Day 2 - Masai Mara Safari

Enjoy your first full day on safari in the Masai Mara.

The Masai Mara is one of the best 'Big 5' safari areas in all of Africa. The range of camps inside the reserve and in the outlying conervacies makes this a great option for first timers, migration followers and experienced safari lovers alike. Most safari camps and lodges include shared day game drives and nature walks as the core safari activities. At some camps it is also possible to enjoy night game drives, more comprehensive walking safaris, riding safaris and hot air balloon safaris: all of which are typically optional extras which you can add in to personalise your safari experience.

Day 3 - Masai Mara safari

Another full day on safari in the incomparable Masai Mara. The Mara is a fantastic year-round safari destination with especially clear game viewing in the long dry season months, July to October, and beautiful touches of green to the scenery in the shoulder and rainy seasons. The migration is typically in the Masai Mara during the long dry season months as well, which makes it a traditionally excellent time of year to go on holiday in Kenya.

Day 4 - Masai Mara safari

Enjoy your final full day on safari in Kenya's Masai Mara. An interesting fact about the Masai Mara is that it contains one of the highest densities of lions anywhere in the world and yet you can see Maasai tribesmen grazing their cattle in the surrounding land: making it easy to see why human/wildlife conflicts occur as cattle and predators roam side by side.
