Luxury Koh Rong Holidays

Plan My Trip

An island escape offering pristine beaches and jungle trails

view_from_koh_rong_island_cambodia_ykg5za-WebsiteMedium We recommend exploring Koh Rong's sand beaches and intoxicating ocean

With white sand beaches and dazzling waters encircling the tropical jungle wilderness, Koh Rong is one of Cambodia’s most stunning islands.

Set only a 45-min speedboat ride from Sihanoukville, the island has become popular with backpackers and party-goers. However, those who wander further from the main village will be rewarded with their own secluded slice of paradise.

There’s a range of ecological and cultural programs to get involved in. Join the conservation team on a trip to the neighbouring island of Prek Svay, where they support the local community.

Go on an island safari to the "sweetheart" islands of Koh Ouen and Koh Bong. You’ll learn about local species and ecosystems, as well as the conservation work that goes into protecting them.

Spend your days soaking up the sun and relaxing on the pristine beaches, or take off on an ocean adventure. You can go snorkelling, scuba diving, kayaking, or take a speedboat tour around the stunning archipelago.

Set off into the jungle on a rainforest tour, while thrill seekers can go ziplining through the lush canopy. In the evening, take a sunset cruise across the glimmering seas and wait until night falls to discover Koh Rong’s famous bioluminescent plankton.

With stunning natural scenery and a private luxury escape, Koh Rong is the beach paradise you’ve been dreaming about.

Your Luxury Koh Rong Trip Ideas

We can arrange a private tour to Koh Rong on our luxury Cambodia Explorer itinerary; however, you’ll likely want to stay for a few nights to really enjoy this magical island. Swim, snorkel and kayak by day, then sip tropical cocktails on the beach by evening. Soak up the sun on the white sandy beaches or escape to the cool cover of the lush jungle, teeming with exotic wildlife.

When to go to Koh Rong

The best time to visit Koh Rong is from November to February when the weather is dry and temperatures average 25 degrees Celsius. These months also draw the largest crowds. March to May is hot and dry, with temperatures averaging 35 degrees, although they can get up to a sweltering 40 degrees Celsius.

The rainy season runs from mid-May to early November, bringing short, sporadic bursts of heavy rain throughout the days, which makes for fewer crowds. The temperatures are still hot, and the ocean is warm for swimming during this season. However, activities such as snorkelling and diving are often compromised by the rain.
