From discovering the fascinating floating villages of Tonle Sap and searching for Irrawaddy dolphins on the Mekong River, to exploring the jungle-clad ancient temples of Angkor Wat by bicycle and visiting Battambang’s famous ‘Bat Caves’, Cambodia is a wonderful destination for a family holiday.
Our Complete Cambodia Holiday starts in Phnom Penh where visits to Tuol Sleng Prison and Choeung Ek Killing Fields offer an insight into Cambodian history during the time of the Khmer Rouge regime. (Please note that Tuol Sleng Prison and Choeung Ek Killing Fields are not suitable for younger children).
From Phnom Penh we travel to a small island on the Mekong River where we have an opportunity to experience rural Cambodian life and we may be lucky enough to spot the rare Irrawaddy dolphin. The following day we explore the pre-Angkorian temples of Sambor Pre Kuk and then we travel to Siem Reap where we discover the majestic Angkor Wat Temple Complex on bicycles.
We also visit the beautiful village of Kompong Phluk and the floating villages of Tonle Sap. Our final destination on this Cambodian family adventure is the tropical island paradise of Kep where you can hike in the spectacular Kep National Park or relax on the idyllic Koh Tonsay (Rabbit Island) which is 20 minutes by long tail boat from Kep.
