Complete Cambodia Holiday
A complete Cambodia tour, including modern cities, ancient temple sites, rural island communities & waterfront relaxation.
From discovering the fascinating floating villages of Tonle Sap and searching for Irrawaddy dolphins on the Mekong River, to exploring the ancient temples of Angkor by bike and visiting Battambang’s famous bat caves, Cambodia can be a wonderful destination for a family holiday.
One family-friendly itinerary example of a Cambodia family holiday is our Complete Cambodia Holiday, though any of our suggested itineraries can be adapted for families and we also specialise in creating tailor made tours, personalised to your family's needs and preferences.
Our 15-day Complete Cambodia Holiday starts in capital city Phnom Penh, which is full of lively markets, fascinating museums and the epic grandeur of the colourful Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. (Note that this itinerary includes visits to the sombre and poignant Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and the Choeung Ek Killing Fields, however these can be omitted and replaced with more suitable family-friendly activities.)
From Phnom Penh, you'll travel to a small island on the Mekong River, where your family will have an opportunity to experience rural Cambodian life with participation in a community project, interacting with locals. Plus, you'll take a boat trip to spot the rare and endangered Irrawaddy dolphin. The following day, you'll explore the pre-Angkorian temples of Sambor Pre Kuk, then travel to Siem Reap to discover the majestic Angkor temple complex by bike.
You can also visit the beautiful village of Kompong Phluk and the floating villages of Tonle Sap. Our final destination on this Cambodian family adventure is the tropical island paradise of Kep, where you can hike in the spectacular Kep National Park or relax on the idyllic Koh Tonsay (Rabbit Island), which is only 20 minutes by long tail boat from Kep.
