Luangwa Safari House

There are four large double ensuite bedrooms that attach to a large airy living area that spans two floors. Each room is uniquely decorated using both locally sources timbers and stone as well as glass, marble and chrome in some rooms. The main area boasts comfy chairs as well as a large family size marble dining table for indoor meals while other meals can be had outside on the deck under the stars.

In front of the house is a tiled terrace area offering a large plunge pool for those hot days. There is a raised timber walkway that leads from the terrace to a viewing deck overlooking the lagoon. This is a perfect area to relax with a beverage on comfortable lounge chairs, enjoying the sights and sounds of the local African wildlife.

Activities for children depend on the children’s ages, but they include game drives, nature walks where they can learn about animal spoor and droppings, star gazing and even a children’s pack with crosswords and dot to dots to make learning about the bush fun. Back at the house, your private host(ess) will be at hand to ensure that they are well looked after. They can have fun in the plunge pool, bake cookies with the chefs for your afternoon tea, make lions or elephants heads from papier mache, play games or simply relax.

Facilities

There is a private pool located on a tiled terrace at the front of the property. The raised walkway leading from this terrace to a viewing deck, nestled between two large ebony trees, offers a bar and dining area for those candlelit dinners and mid-afternoon snacks.
