Located on the banks of the fourth longest African river, Mvuu Lodge is land and water experience property. Offering the advantage of viewing wildlife in this game rich area by land and by water, the lodge offers a comfortable mid size and mid-luxury level option for guests wanting to experience the usual safari experiences as well as Tiger fishing which is synonymous with the Zambezi River.
The camp itself offers an array of accommodation options. The Shaka style luxury tent offers privacy from the camp and its guests and offers its own firepit, solar power and private deck while the 7 Bemba luxury tents offer comfortable accommodation made for comfort and practicality.
All the tents and cottages have views over the Zambezi river. Bird watching and game viewing can be done from the comfort of your own patio.
Being an area rich in wildlife, game viewing is exceptionally rewarding by boat or in an open vehicle drive through the bush. The challenge of catching the renowned Tiger Fish from the banks of the great Zambezi River or from a boat provides you with the opportunity to lose yourself in the adrenaline rush.
Relax with a sun downer, great food and warm hospitality on our open aired dining deck looking out over the river. Finish off the day around a blazing bonfire in the boma while listening to the sounds of the African bush.

The camp
Offering a flagship Shaka luxury tent as well as 7 Bemba tents, the lodge offers these rooms fully equipped with fresh linen, mosquito nets, insect repellents, solar fans, LED lighting, hurricane lamps, towels, bathroom amenities, coffee and tea making facilities.
The restaurant and bar area, with its stunning deck that extends over the bank of the Zambezi River, is the perfect spot for absorbing the breathtaking sunsets whilst sipping on a sundowner. Dining under a canopy of stars whilst the sounds of an evening fire and the bush fill the background is made even more magical by seeing the nocturnal animals down below or further out along the banks of the river from the dining deck.
Activities here include canoeing, game drives, photographic boat trips, fishing and bird watching.
Facilities
There is a swimming pool close to the main area which offers a respite from the heat on hot summer days and is shaded by the large leadwood trees surrounding it. Elephants can sometimes be seen drinking from the pool during very hot and dry months of the year!
Dining
All meals and drinks are included during your stay. Meals are taken either in the open-sided lounge and dining area or outside under the shade of a tree or under the stars.
