Royal Chundu has 2 lodges, River Lodge comprising of 10 exclusive River lodge Suites and 4 private villas located on Island Lodge, both overlooking the Zambezi River. The lodge is situated in absolute tranquillity and its surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful. The staff are on hand to make sure that your stay at Royal Chundu is a once in a lifetime experience.
Each suite is incredibly spacious and has exquisite and truly authentic Zambian décor. Each suite also has its own private deck providing wonderful views to Zimbabwe from the moment you wake up in bed. Victoria Falls is approximately 30 minutes from the lodge and is a natural wonder that cannot be missed. Several key activities to explore the falls and surrounding areas can either be booked at the property or through third party suppliers at the falls themselves. The lodge is also perfectly situated if you wish to explore the bustling town of Livingstone, with its history, culture and arts and craft markets.
The lodge itself offers several internal activities such as river cruises, birding safari’s and much more. Royal Chundu is a peaceful sanctuary and at its heart celebrates hospitality, elegant dining and attention to detail. Royal Chundu is a Relais and Chateaux property and is the first and only one in Zambia.

The lodge
Royal Chundu has 10 spacious luxurious suites with colonial décor. Each suite is approximately 80sqm with a King bed or 2 twin beds. Each suite also has a lounge, private river viewing deck, double showers and sinks, bidet and separate toilet. There is a dressing room, air conditioning, ceiling fan and mosquito nets. Extra beds can be arranged for 2 children. The property has Wifi, a fitness facility, plenty of activities and an outdoor pool.
The property also has disabled accessibility. Royal Chundu also offers a wonderful kids club offering children the ability to get a ‘Kids Adventure Passport’. There are River Guides and Child Minders to supervise the children whilst parents relax. Dining at Royal Chundu will take you on a gastronomical experience. All chefs are Zambian and each meal is prepared with a taste of Zambia combining international classics, only using the best fresh ingredients. You can also enjoy a boma dining experience, dining under a giant baobab tree or if you prefer, private dining is also an option.
Facilities
Spa treatments are enjoyed indoors or outdoors within the privacy of your own suite. Royal Chundu offer guests helicopter transfers which fly over the Falls before you arrive at the lodges heli pad.

Meals can be enjoyed indoors or outdoors. You can also arrange a private dining experience on a boat cruise or picnic.
