A Wayfairer family holiday to Vietnam can offer a perfect combination of history, culture and adventure. Our Vietnam Family Holiday starts in Saigon where we visit the Reunification Palace and Notre Dame Cathedral, plus we head 40km northwest of the city to the fascinating Cu Chi Tunnels which provide an insight into the underground life of Vietnamese soldiers back in 1948.
We also visit the Mekong Delta which is a land of winding waterways, mangrove forests, floating markets and lush green paddy fields, and we spend a few days at Vietnam’s most famous beach resort, Nha Trang.
Your Vietnam family adventure continues with an overnight sleeper train to Da Nang and from here we travel to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hoi An where your family can wander around the historic Old Town or hire bicycles and explore the local countryside to get an insight into rural Vietnamese life.
Next we fly to Hanoi where we tour the streets of old Hanoi by cycle rickshaw and in the evening we’ll watch the world-famous Thang Long Water Puppet Theater. We’ll also take a trip to Halong Bay which is known for its serene, emerald waters and towering limestone islands topped by rainforests. Then we return to Hanoi where your Vietnam family holiday ends.
