The Wallawwa

The 18 bedrooms and suites reflect the character of this 18^th century manor house and the contemporary additions make them stylish and modern. The king-size four-poster bed with quality mattress, crisp linen sheets and lightweight duvet, and the blackout blinds on the large windows will ensure that you get a good night's sleep – essential if you’ve just arrived on a long haul flight. Families can either opt for interconnecting rooms or the two-bedroom Mountbatten Suite which has a private plunge pool. All rooms have air-conditioning and a fan, a flatscreen TV, minibar, a Nespresso coffee machine and tea-making facilities, bathrobes and a range of toiletries in the bathroom.

The Wallawwa’s 16m stone-lined swimming pool is set in the exotic gardens surrounded by tropical trees and plants, and it’s hidden out of sight of the hotel making it a perfect spot to relax. There’s also a tranquil spa where guests can enjoy luxurious massages, scrubs and facials. The hotel’s boutique offers a collection of locally made gifts, with all proceeds going to local charities.

Dining

Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be enjoyed in ‘The Verandah’ - the hotel’s open-sided restaurant overlooking the tropical gardens. Food is served all day, with a separate dinner menu available in the evening.
