Rosenhof Country House in Oudtshoorn is a beautiful, renovated country house along the Garden Route of South Africa and a property worthy of staying at just for high tea in the garden.
A homestead dating back to 1852, Rosenhof Country House features 12 deluxe rooms, two suites and a traditional country pub.
Each of the 12 rooms has been decorated in a modern Victorian style with antique furniture and the spacious suites have their own private swimming pools.
The main house also has a swimming pool to relax by, and a landscaped garden with lots of outdoor seating. There are also a few different lounge rooms, filled with well known South African artists, for guests to relax in.
The rose garden leads guests to their rooms and adds to the feeling of a country house. There is an outdoor pavilion for lunches, light snacks and tea, or tables can be set up the garden for an elaborate afternoon tea.
Close to Rosenhof Country House are lots of ostrich farms, the Cango Caves and the stunning Swartberg mountain with some incredibly scenic roads winding through nothing but the African bushveld.

The property
All elegantly decorated in a clean Victorian style, the 12 luxury rooms each have their own character that fits perfectly into the traditional country house feel. The rooms have heating and air-conditioning to ensure guests are comfortable year round and come with double, twin or king-sized beds. Each room has a seating area and an ensuite bathroom with impeccably white finishings. There are also two executive suite rooms available, perfect for honeymooners or those looking to indulge themselves. The suites have their own private plunge pools and are set further away from the main area, allowing for more privacy and beautiful views of the Swartberg Mountain.
Around Rosenhof Country House is a landscaped rose garden, a main swimming pool, a few lounges for relaxing and a traditional pub. The property has a gym with lots of different machines and a beauty clinic for massages, manicures and body treatments.
