This family holiday starts in Cape Town where you can summit Table Mountain in a rotating cable car, visit Robben Island and the District Six Museum, join a walking or cycling tour of Langa township, spend the day at one of the Atlantic Seaboard beaches or say hello to the African penguins at Boulders Beach.

From Cape Town you head south to Hermanus where your family can join whale and shark watching trips or an ocean eco-adventure where you can learn about Cape fur seals, penguins and marine life, or you may want to try adventure activities such as mountain biking, forest treks and zip-lining.

From Hermanus you drive east to Plettenberg Bay on South Africa’s stunning Garden Route and here you can enjoy activities such as hiking, cycling and horse riding in the surrounding mountains and forests or you can visit Birds of Eden, Monkeyland and the Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary.

Your next stop is Kwandwe Game Reserve where you’ll have the opportunity to spot large numbers of giraffe, elephant, lion, leopard and rhino and you’ll stay at a wonderful family-friendly safari lodge. You will then drive one hour to Port Elizabeth for a domestic flight to Cape Town where your South Africa family adventure ends.
