Kwandwe Melton Manor is a contemporary, sole-use safari villa with views of the Afromontane forests and easy access to Kwandwe Private Game Reserve. Kwandwe has one of the highest land to guest ratios in the whole of South Africa, and Melton Manor is one of three private villas within the reserve.

The whole of Melton Manor must be rented out at once, but in exchange guests have access to an incredible villa with a central swimming pool and four ensuite bedrooms that sleeps up to eight adults (and one toddler under two). It’s ideal for families or groups of friends travelling together.

Nestled into a forested area, with views of the surrounding hills, Melton Manor is a contemporary and stylish villa decorated with African artwork and colonial furniture.

The manor is furnished in subtle safari colours with glass walls to maximise the pristine views of nature. Kwandwe Melton Manor comes with a butler to help assist guests with any part of their stay, and there is also a personal chef and a farm style kitchen, where willing guests can learn some traditional African dishes.

The property

Kwandwe Melton Manor has been designed in a u-shape, with the swimming pool and a courtyard in the middle of the villa. There are four large bedrooms, each elegantly finished with a king-sized bed, locally inspired furnishings and large verandahs with outdoor seating. The ensuite bathrooms have freestanding bathtubs that overlook forest outside and a large shower room.

The rooms feature a butler hatch, which allows fresh coffee, tea and breakfast to be delivered in a discreet way. Take your coffee to the outdoor verandah to wake up with the sounds of nature or regroup over an elaborate breakfast next to the swimming pool. Being a private party, guests of Melton Manor can also enjoy private, and flexible, game drives, nature walks and rhino tracking safaris. Activities are completely designed around the guests.
