Constance Lemuria is a much-loved, luxury hotel on the Northern shores of Praslin; a short boat ride or flight from Mahe, the main island of the Seychelles. Built in 1999, then renovated to the highest standard in 2016, Lemuria oozes Seychellois charm and an air of sophistication that is characteristic of the Constance group of hotels.
Lemuria enjoys one of the best locations on the island; it is built into a lush tropical forest, with views across and access to three beautiful white sand beaches, providing a quintessential Seychelles backdrop to your island escape. The hotel’s suites and private villas are spacious and characterful with all the modern amenities expected of a luxury hotel, including air-conditioning, tea and coffee facilities and a minibar.
There’s a plethora of activities at the hotel, including a kids club to keep the youngsters entertained whilst the parents kick back at the spa, learn how to scuba dive, enjoy a round on the 18-hole championship golf course, or indulge one of Lemuria’s seven different bars and restaurants.
Venture beyond the manicured lawns, swaying palm trees and pristine beaches to go snorkelling, cruising and island hoping. You can meet the turtles at the turtle sanctuary, wander beneath the impressive canopy of trees at Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve or stroll along the famed Anse Georgette beach below the hotel.

The hotel
Junior suites are set in the gardens, with direct beach access and ideal for couples or solo travellers. The more spacious Senior Suites have a comfortable lounge area and are set back about 15m from the shore. Our personal favourite, however, is the Pool Villa; a deluxe two-bedroom villa with outdoor shower and massage pavilion and infinity pool right on the beach. Families and groups also have the option to take over the hotel’s 9-bedroom Presidential Villa which is about exactly as decadent as you might think!
Nine restaurants and bars are scattered across the beach and tropical forests of the hotel grounds, serving a wonderful array of dishes from all over the world with a distinctive Seychellois flair. There is also a kids club, dive centre for those eager to master a new skill and 18-hole championship golf course.
There is also a VIP Lounge for those who can’t tear themselves away from work to catch up on emails and take meetings in peace, as well as three shops and an excellent range of treatments available at the Constance Spa.
Facilities
As well as a round of golf you can take to the tennis court, go snorkelling, kayaking, windsurfing and paddle boarding or cycling. All of which are included during your stay.
Dining
Head to The Nest for fresh Creole seafood overlooking the beach, dig your toes into the sand at Tamaka or don your bow tie for an extravagant meal under the stars at the Diva Bar.
