You’ll fly from Mahe to this 201-acre granitic island paradise that is effortlessly perched in the turquoise Northern-most waters of the inner Seychelles. North Island’s ethos is to blend in as seamlessly as possible with the island’s natural beauty and so its 11 opulent villas are crafted in harmony with North’s rich surrounds and are the epitome of barefoot luxury.
You’ll stay a minimum of four nights and, as far as we’re concerned, you’ll need at least this to soak up all the magic that this incredible island has to offer. The Resort
North Island’s 10 beach villas are an extensive 450sqm of unique, eco-friendly architecture that have been created using locally and sustainably sourced materials from the island itself. Gentle textures and natural hues create an atmosphere of calm, and each villa overlooks the beach and ocean from a spacious patio and private plunge pool.
Villa 11 is reserved for those who wish to spare no expenses and are seeking complete privacy and exclusivity. It is spread across 750sqm with an open-plan design, tiered levels, and direct beach access.
Meet like-minded islands lovers at the Piazza Bar & Lounge, which spills over onto the beach in the island’s main areas. You’ll also have access to the wine cellar, sunset beach bar, library, dive centre, gym, spa, swimming pool and shop.
Little ones are not forgotten too; there is a children’s play area made up of jungle gyms, crafts and toys galore. Kids are also encouraged to join the Beach Buddy program where fun activities all around the island are tailor-made for children.
Facilities
Nothing is too much hassle. Kayaks, SUP boards, fishing boats, snorkelling equipment and more are all provided as well as an on-site dive centre, guided hikes and a spa.
Dining
Relaxed dining is available at the sunset beach bar and the Piazza Bar & Lounge as well as a range of private and destination dining experiences. All dietary requirements are catered for.

North Island is dedicated to the rehabilitation of the island’s indigenous flora and fauna, which was compromised when the island was used originally as a copra plantation. Today it is, most notably, proudly entirely free of rats, which are a major threat to the Seychelles’ ground nesting birds and work is constantly underway to clear invasive plant species and replace these with endemic plant species and tree saplings.
