Little Kulala - A little slice of luxury

COST PER NIGHT
PERFECT FOR

Couples & Families

Little Kulala is a little slice of luxury in the 67,000 acre Kulala Wilderness Reserve. The property has stunning views over the ‘sea of sand’ and at night, the clear skies offer guests a sky full of millions of stars.

Each of the 11 luxury, thatched villas each has a rooftop skybed for star gazing and sleeping under the stars.

The villas feature soft king-sized beds, indoor and outdoor showers and a private plunge pool on the verandah area, to relax in and gaze out at the wild savannah and watering hole.

Every villa has been designed to maximise glimpses of the stunning surroundings and night skies, and even the interior safari colours reflect the nature outside.

Little Kulala has a great location and offers guided walks into the towering sand dunes in the Kulala Wilderness Reserve.

From the camp, guests can see some of the desert-adapted wildlife grazing on the little vegetation available, and Little Kulala can also arrange a range of activities including game drives, eco-friendly quad biking, horse riding and even hot air ballooning over the sand dunes.

A stunning camp, Little Kulala is one of Sossusvlei’s best accommodation options.

The camp

Little Kulala has just 11 villas, one of which is a family suite for children over six years old and extra beds can be added into each villa. Each kulala has a thatched roof with a skybed for nighttime stargazing, and a verandah with a private pool for nighttime swimming. The villas have indoor and outdoor showers and are built to be climate-controlled, negating the need for air-conditioning.

The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining areas and the friendly staff are able to cook up local Namibian and traditional European dishes. The wine cellar is another great feature of Little Kulala, with an extensive variety of South African and vintage worldly wines.

Facilities

The main lodge has a beautifully decorated lounge with a stone wall resembling a giraffe pattern. A library full of books about Namibia lets guests better understand the region they are in and a craft boutique for those in need of souvenirs.

Dining

There is a restaurant, bar and lounge for food and light snacks, or meals can be delivered to villas. Little Kulala can arrange dinners in the desert, with views of the millions of stars above in the clear sky.

Why Wayfairer

Little Kulala and its parent company, Wilderness Safaris, are focused on the Four C’s; commerce, conservation, community and culture. They are deeply rooted to Namibia and work for the benefit of all the country’s residents, be they human or animal. All their lodgings are eco-friendly and have environmental management systems, while their conservation efforts focus on biodiversity, through understanding, managing and protecting wildlife and ecosystems, as well as local cultures. Their commerce aims focus on providing sustainability in the modern world and profits from the camps go towards helping the conservation and sustainability aspects of the 4C’s.
