One of the first hotels built around Inle Lake, Inle Princess Resort is a luxurious refuge set on a quiet inlet on the eastern shore of the lake. The resort is the ideal property to experience Burmese cultural practices, local cuisine, traditional architecture and artwork.
Perfectly balancing the combination of luxury and sustainability, the resort offers a unique community feel throughout and is surrounded by lush natural landscape and the serene lake environment. Surrounded by breathtaking views of the lake and nearby Shan Hills, Inle Princess Resort radiates a tranquil ambience in a secluded oasis.
Living amidst unspoilt nature, Inle Princess Resort takes the conservation of its environment and community seriously. This can be seen throughout the property, from its eco-friendly stilted chalets that has been built by local craftsmen using Inthar traditional practices to the organic ingredients used in their restaurants that are grown in their grounds or sourced locally to benefit local businesses.
Consisting of 46 chalets throughout the resort, these traditionally built rooms feature authentic teakwood carvings with luxurious amenities. Spend time during your stay enjoying the resort’s highlights including an artisan village, which has been created on the property to share ancestral traditions for Shan pottery.
Featuring 46 chalets, 27 of which have lake views and 19 which have garden views, each spacious and well-appointed chalet features traditional Burmese décor, with authentic teak wood carvings, a private outdoor shower, and an expansive wooden deck with binoculars to view the surrounding wildlife. Standing on stilts above the lake, the palm thatched Lake Houses overlook the Lotus flower covered lake, and feature clay ovens to warm up in the cooler months. All are individually built by local artisans and finely decorated with traditional artwork.
Inle Lake is famous for its farm produce and skilled fisherman, and the dining services in Inle Princess Resort are dependent on these practices. With a seasonal menu that changes daily, the resort’s restaurants serve local Inthar cuisine with a modern twist, which is made with ingredients that are predominantly sourced from lakeside markets or grown in the resort’s grounds. Savour your daily meals in on the lakeside deck whilst being surrounded by traditional Shan decorations, or opt for a personalised dining experience as part of your tailor made holiday. Enjoy a range of refreshing drinks and sun downers in the resort’s snug bar, complete with a well-trained Head Barman who designs a range of signature cocktails.
The resort specialises in offering holistic activities and experiences, such as craft and wildlife activities. There are multiple amenities including a pool, spa, gardens, and craft village.
Almost all of the resort’s ingredients are grown on site or sourced from lakeside markets. The restaurants and bar specialise in creative and original dining experiences.
Inle Princess Resort is a founding supporter of the Inle Heritage, which is a not-for-profit foundation which aims protect and grow the cultural and natural wealth of the region. The resort is committed to funding local clinics and supporting monasteries from a portion of its profits as well as self-sufficiently supplying drinking water and has a no plastic policy in its rooms. The resort invests in its community with language and technical training and has a strong commitment to offering jobs to locals.
