Begin your adventure in Antananarivo before driving east through rural villages, cocoa plantations and rice paddies to Andasibe, where you’ll spend two days exploring Perinet Special Reserve and Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, Madagascar's premier rainforest reserve.

You’ll search for Madagascar’s largest lemur, the indri. You can also look out for 11 other lemur species, tropical birds, colourful chameleons and interesting insects, along with stunning natural pools and waterfalls.

Next you’ll travel to southeast Madagascar where you’ll stay at a luxury camp set on the banks of the Mandrare River. Enjoy guided day and night walks in the Ifotaka Sacred Forest and visit an ancient burial forest teeming with wildlife, including the famous ring-tailed lemurs. You’ll also visit a local market or village to meet the fascinating  Antandroy tribe.

From here you’ll head to Manafiafy, a beautiful bay surrounded by forest covered mountains and wildlife rich mangroves. Venture into the coastal rainforest at night to spot nocturnal lemurs leaping through the trees, Madagascar scops owl, satanic leaf-tailed geckos and other masters of camouflage.

You’ll have a chance to interact with the local Antanosy community, and you can explore the extensive mangrove network by motorboat or kayak and snorkelling or swimming in the crystal clear sea.
