This unique beach-front hotel, situated in Mararikulam, has a décor based on the characteristics of the traditional fishing villages surrounding it.

A short distance from the hotel, local fishermen skillfully work at securing their prize for the day and proceed to selling it at auction. All this can be witnessed at your convenience.

This location also offers 30 acres of unspoiled coconut groves, lily ponds, fruit trees and a large organic farm, amenities intended to be fully explored by guests who can acquaint themselves with the satisfaction that comes from picking fruits and vegetables from the garden and having them served up for supper by an extremely talented onsite chef.

The resort

Marari Beach Resort houses 62 gorgeous palm thatched cottages tastefully decorated in line with the local theme. Rooms are equipped with either twin or double beds and the colour scheme throughout is mostly neutral with a splash of vibrant colour here and there which adds warmth. The property offers exactly what is required to get the most from your trip whether that be trying something new, spending quality time with loved ones or simply perfecting ‘the fine art of being’. Marari Beach’s serene gardens and tranquil lotus ponds are supplemented with activities including cookery, swimming, nature walks, yoga and martial arts. Making it a perfect fit for couples and families alike.

Dining whilst at Marari Beach will be a delight. In keeping with the ethos of sustainability the majority of food served is local. Bread is baked on site daily, seafood is bought from local fishermen and fruit and vegetables are sourced in the resort’s organic garden, making the delicious meals on offer that much more enjoyable.

The resort’s 12 acres of farmland are maintained by local farmers who have invaluable knowledge of the area. A nutritional program has been established within the community to inspire local people to grow fruits and vegetables in order to supplement their diet. Each year local women with specialist skills are employed to re-thatch the cottages on site.
